"The telltale signs of a Shock anomaly are the loud cracking electrical noises it produces. This anomaly is particularly dangerous because it is almost completely invisible until triggered. The Shock discharges a massive electrical charge into anyone or anything that gets too close to it."
- Shock anomalies can only be identified by a electrical crackling noise or small sparks that appear at it's core when it makes sound.
- Throwing a probe will reveal it's area of influence.
- Trying to pick up items while in range of a Shock anomaly can be extremely dangerous: if the anomaly triggers, it will hit the item and damage it and the player. The player drops the item when hit: the item dropped seems to be impossible to pick up with a ranged grab, which exposes the Explorer to further damage from the Lightning Anomaly.
- Shock Anomalies that hit a player that either is holding a grenade or has one in their body slots will detonate the grenade, very likely killing the player.
- The Shock can be bypassed by triggering it with probes and running through it quick enough, or it can be disabled with the use of a grenade.
- The Shock does massive damage upon entering.
